How do you charge for your services? One of the most important questions you can ask.
A) We charge a flat fee for our coordinating services. We have 2 payment options for you to choose from: monthly or quarterly. We require a deposit to do two things; retain our services and to hold your wedding date.
Other questions and answers:
A) I have been a wedding coordinator for over 15 years now.
A) We cannot answer that question until we hear what it is that you would like for us to do for you. Every wedding is unique so we do not have a standard charge. Our fees are competitive to other coordinators and are based on what you would like for YOUR wedding, and not on what someone else may have wanted for their wedding.
A) We will meet as many times as is needed. I am always available by email or phone. The meeting will be determined by what we need to discuss. There is no limit to our meets or time we are available for you. We are here to help you create your wedding dream into a reality so however many meetings we need will be accommodated.
A) Yes, we will meet with your vendors and review their contracts. We will always need a copy of the contract so that we can keep track of important dates and any amount that might be due.
A) Yes, I own my own computer and I am very computer literate.
A) Yes I have other coordinators that are my backup in the case of an emergency.
A) There is no extra charge for us to be at your rehearsal. We would prefer to be at the rehearsal to help organize the event and to help answer any questions from anyone in your wedding party that may arise.
A) On your wedding day we will be in business attire. We wear a name tag so that everyone will know who we are and what our purpose is for being at your wedding.
A) This is one of the main reasons why everyone should hire a planner. With the many years of experience we have we will be able to direct you to a vendor that will fit within your budget. Most couples want more than they can afford so it is our job to make sure you are aware of the many options available to fit within your budget.
A) Yes. We contact every vendor that you contracted with to ensure that they are aware of your wedding date approaching. We will give them a schedule of events either prior to your event or on the day of your wedding. Every vendor is given our phone number so that we can work close together with them for a smooth wedding day.
A) No. We do not feel that charging for these services is required. We feel this is one of the reasons why you hired us. We will be your extra arm to make everything possible.
A) Yes, but we are willing to work with anyone. Most consultants do because of the many weddings that they plan. Please visit my vendor list to see who they currently are.
A) We would be happy to help if this were to happen.
A) Yes. There is always a back-up plan on the day of your wedding to cover any changes or emergencies that may arise.
A) It will be determined by the amount of work that will be involved in planning your wedding. We always include the amount of the deposit when we quote you our fee.
A) This is a very touchy question, but we will do our best in answer it. Since we are not considered a “vendor” but are a consultant/planning company and our services are given over several months we do not refund or give deposits back. We reserved your wedding date which means that we were not able to help another couple. We plan no more than one wedding a weekend. If we put time into planning your wedding day, we feel that it is only fair that we are paid for the time we have put into it. Our fees are very reasonable and cover many months of planning. Our services are not only given on the day of your wedding like vendors, but over months. Under certain circumstances we will make an exception. We will be happy to apply any amount that you have paid to another date if that is warranted.
A) It all depends on what you have requested for us to do. We can discuss the arrival time after we have talked and signed a contract. We do not leave until everything is over.
A) We would be happy to do this. This service is included in our fees. The check will have to come from you directly. We do not float checks for our clients. We will work with you to make sure that the payments are in the form that the vendor requires. We will have envelopes with their name on it for you to put the check in prior to the rehearsal. The payment to your vendors will be given to them after they have performed what you contracted them to do; unless the contract states otherwise.
A) We are discreet, but are happy and pleasant to work with. With that said, we enjoy what we do and love to have a wonderful time with you in planning your wedding day. This is a happy time for you and your fiance. Our job is to keep your stress down, so laughing is a wonderful stress reliever in planning your wedding day. It should be fun and exciting! We work close with you and become your friend so laughing is important to having a pleasant memory. If you would prefer us to be very reserved we will accommodate that request. We are a classy and elegant team but enjoy what we do so it shows with our smiles and laughter.
